The Ascendia Ltd Subscriber Agreement

Ascendia Ltd, provides telephony services to customers in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in this agreement.

By registering for, activating, making use of, or by paying for Ascendia Ltd services you acknowledge having read and agreed to these terms, and you represent that there is no legal impediment to your entering or being bound by this agreement.

Billing, Pricing and Charges

Usage of Ascendia Ltd services will be charged according to the current price list as made available on the Ascendia Ltd site. Changes to our pricing shall become effective immediately upon posting to the site.

Ascendia Ltd does not store payment card data. We use third party payment processors to process card payments on our behalf. We may use either CCBill or Allied Gateway for this purpose. Please check the relevant section below for further information.

Ascendia Ltd accepts no liability for any charges assessed by a third party provider when used in conjunction with Ascendia Ltd's services. Your access to and use of a service provided by a third party provider is subject to the provider's terms and conditions. As soon as your call is connected to a phone number provided by Ascendia Ltd, the call may be charged regardless of whether you are connected to the placer of the call.

Whilst we endeavour to provide service, there are events outside our control that may mean the service is not available.

Services can only be provided to normal UK mobiles from standard networks. Certain numbers beginning 07 have high interchange fees, and the Ascendia Ltd service is not compatible with these numbers without paying additional fees. You will be informed in the unlikely event that this affects you, and you would be fully covered under the money back guarantee if you did not want to go ahead.

Ascendia Ltd will not be liable for any damages in the event of a service disruption.

The rates that will be charged for calls will be based on a rate which is inclusive of any applicable taxes and surcharges. Should the rate not include taxes, this will be noted next to the rate in question. This rate will be the rate advertised on the Ascendia Ltd website at the time of the call.

Cost of call calculation will be based on the length of the call rounded up to the next nearest full minute.

If you select any of the minute-based pay-monthly plans, your service will continue until you have used your minutes or 30 days has elapsed, whichever comes first.


If we use CCBill to process your payments then your transactions are processed by them in accordance with their privacy and legal policies. Payments & Cancellation Policy

All payments are non-refundable and once purchased, the goods cannot be returned except as detailed in our money guarantee section, below. You can cancel your Ascendia Ltd account at any time, there is no minimum term for any of our products and you will not be liable for any further sums after your cancellation has been processed. Please allow one working day for us to process your cancellation request. If you wish to cancel, please contact Customer Services on 0800 411 8062 or press the 'disconnect' button at the top of your account screen.

Payment for Ascendia Ltd services is billed on a pre-pay basis, unless otherwise agreed by both parties. You agree that our services will not be provisioned until sufficient pre-payment has been made, and that service may be terminated immediately if sufficient pre-payment does not continue to be made. It is your ongoing responsibility to ensure that your account maintains the necessary balance to provision the service.

If you have insufficient funds credited to your account to cover your pay-as-you-go monthly line rental amount, your number will be cancelled. It may be possible to reactivate your number, however, it may not be possible in all circumstances to reactivate your number.

Pay monthly plans will automatically rebill to the card used for the initial payment. If your automatic payment does not clear for your pay monthly plan, your number will be cancelled. It may be possible to reactivate your number, however, it may not be possible in all circumstances to reactivate your number.

Our pay monthly plans are not compatible with international numbers or freephone numbers.

You agree that Ascendia Ltd can expire any number that does not receive calls for 28 (twenty eight) days. Such expiration renders the balance non-refundable. If you wish to leave your account dormant but without your number expiring in this way, please contact Customer Services on 0800 411 8062.

Personal Data

Ascendia Ltd takes your privacy seriously. In order to provide our service we use data in the following ways. When you sign up and accept these terms and conditions we collect your mobile number and your local area code or postcode. We use the area code or postcode to provide you with a landline number in your area. We use your mobile number so that we can connect calls to you. We also use your mobile number to send you essential account related information, including low balance alerts. These messasges are essential to the running of your account with us, so it is not possible to opt out of these communications. When you close your account, you will no longer recieve communications from us. Your data is deleted three months after you close your account with us. Where an account is used for fraud, including not paying for services rendered, we will retain the associated mobile number in perpetuity to prevent further fraud.

When you receive calls using the service, we collect call data records (CDRs). These contain the caller ID, the date and time of the call and the call duration. We use these records to bill your account. These records are retained for three months and then deleted. As a result any queries about call data prior to the three month cut off cannot be dealt with. Family accounts will only show call data related to the main number on the account in order to protect the privacy of other account users.

If you call us, we may send text messages to you in order to further assist you with your call. For example, if you request a PIN reminder or we think that a link to our website might help resolve your query.

When you pay using a debit or credit card, your payment, and any related payment data is processed by CCBill as desribed in the billing section above. This data is not stored or processed by Ascendia Ltd.

If you wish to view and download your personal data, please log into your account. All the personal information that we hold for you is displayed on the main account page. You can download or print it as you wish.

Money Back Guarantee & Refunds

If you wish to claim under the money back guarantee, please check you have met the following criteria before contacting Customer Services on 0800 411 8062.

You must let us know within 30 days of signing up that you'd like to cancel and we'll refund your top ups up to £5 back to the card you used to pay. Please note, this offer applies to UK landline pay-as-you-go numbers only. Due to the high setup costs of international and FreePhone numbers and our pay monthly plans we can't offer this guarantee for these types of accounts.

We offer refunds in exceptional circumstances that do not meet the criteria under the money back guarentee. Please contact Customer Services on 0800 411 8062 for more information.

Measuring Usage

You agree that Ascendia Ltd records are conclusive evidence of your use of the site and service. Furthermore, you acknowledge that these records will be used to calculate charges incurred.

You agree to be held fully responsible for all use of and fees related to your account, and accept full liability and responsibility for the actions of anyone who uses the site or service via your account, whether authorised or unauthorised, except when unauthorised use is solely attributed to an act or omission on the part of Ascendia Ltd.

You agree that Ascendia Ltd should not be and is not responsible for any third party claims against us that arise from your use of the Service. Further, you agree to reimburse us for all of our costs and expenses related to the defence of any such claims, including legal fees, unless such claims are based on our wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

You must notify Ascendia Ltd within thirty (30) days of the date on your credit card or debit card statement if you dispute any Ascendia Ltd charges on that statement or such dispute will be deemed waived.

Liability & Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Ascendia Ltd and its agents, and hold them harmless from any claims or damages relating to this agreement. You agree not to hold Ascendia Ltd or its agents liable for any loss of business, contracts, savings or profits, or any other damages or losses (direct or consequential) to the extent that Ascendia Ltd liability can be limited by law.

You are expressly prohibited from using the Service for any abusive or fraudulent purpose, including using the Service in a way that interferes with our ability to provide the Service to you or other customers or avoids your obligation to pay for communications services.

Ascendia Ltd, in its sole discretion, may terminate your Service without advance notice if it believes you have violated the aforementioned restrictions, or if you act in a manner that is threatening, obscene, harassing, or abusive to Ascendia Ltd personnel.

You are liable for any and all use of the Service by any person using the Service provided to you and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ascendia Ltd against any and all liability for any such use. If Ascendia Ltd, in its sole discretion, believes that you have violated the aforementioned restrictions, Ascendia Ltd may forward personally identifiable information to the appropriate authorities for investigation and prosecution and you hereby consent to such forwarding.

You are expressly prohibited from any use of the Service or any other action that, in Ascendia Ltd sole discretion, is deemed to present a risk to the network integrity or security of Ascendia Ltd or its vendors, whether directly or indirectly. Ascendia Ltd, in its sole discretion, may terminate your Service without advance notice if it determines your actions could cause a network disruption or security breach.

Term of and Changes to This Agreement

The terms of this agreement shall come into effect immediately upon appearing on the Ascendia Ltd website, as indicated by the time-stamp at the foot of this document. Ascendia Ltd may terminate this agreement at any time for any breach of these terms or any applicable policy as posted on the Ascendia Ltd website. No reimbursement for any fees charged in connection with Ascendia Ltd services shall be issued for such a termination.

Any provision of this agreement relating to term, payment, liability, indemnification, governing law, or confidentiality shall survive termination or expiration.


We can assign all or part of our rights or duties under this Agreement without notifying you. If we do that, we have no further obligations to you. You may not assign this Agreement or the Service without our prior written consent.


The Ascendia Ltd Service utilises, in whole or in part, the public Internet and third party networks to transmit voice and other communications. Ascendia Ltd is not liable for any lack of privacy which may be experienced with regard to the Service. In addition, Ascendia Ltd will provide personally identifiable customer and call detail information in response to lawful government requests, subpoenas, and court orders, as well as law enforcement requests. Ascendia Ltd primarily communicates with users of the Service via text message. Such messages from Ascendia Ltd are used to communicate important information about the Service, including billing and changes to the Service, much of which is time-sensitive. Ascendia Ltd reserve the right to withdraw any service offered by the company immediately without prior warning or notice. You acknowledge that text messages from Ascendia Ltd constitutes official notice from Ascendia Ltd and that you are required to read in a timely manner all text messages sent to the mobile phone number specified by you at the time of registration for the Service in order to avoid any potential disruption of the Service. You also acknowledge that you are responsible for notifying Ascendia Ltd of any changes in your mobile phone number and payment details.

General Provisions

Ascendia Ltd will not be responsible to you for any delay, failure in performance, loss, or damage due to fire, explosion, power blackout, earthquake, volcanic action, flood, the weather elements, strike, embargo, labour disputes, civil or military authority, war, acts of God, acts or omissions of carriers or suppliers, acts of regulatory or governmental agencies, or other causes beyond our reasonable control.


You agree that your Ascendia Ltd landline number is not portable.

Referral Bonuses

From time to time referral bonus offers may be advertised to existing customers. These offers may be withdrawn at any time and bonus payments are at the sole discretion of Ascendia Ltd. Fraudulent bonuses can be withheld where there is a reasonable suspicion that the new customer is not genuine. Referral bonuses are only paid out when the new subscriber tops up their account, and will be withdrawn if they claim on our money back guarantee.

These Terms and Conditions are effective from 15 April 2020 and supersede all prior versions.
